THINGS TO DO BEFORE YOUR STUDENT-ATHLETE CAN PARTICIPATE IN HTH MESA SPORTS
In order for your student-athlete to participate in HTH Mesa sports, you need to do the following as soon as possible:
- Create an athleticclearance.com profile. This is important so coaches can be in contact with their athletes as we begin our seasons.
- Get an updated sports physical for the 2020-21 school year.
NOTE: HTH will not be providing sports physicals this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please make an appointment with your family physician. You can upload the signed form on your athleticclearance.com account or send it directly to Coach O’Kelley via email to mokelley@hightechhigh.org. DOWNLOAD THE STUDENT ATHLETE PHYSICAL FORM
IMPORTANT CIF BYLAW CHANGE FOR ATHLETES PLAYING CLUB SPORTS
THIS CHANGE IS VALID FOR THIS YEAR ONLY
Due to the unprecedented strain on calendars presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, CIF has voted to suspend the current bylaws preventing student athletes from competing for a club and for a school at the same time. Click here for more information on this temporary change.
HIGH TECH HIGH MESA SPORTS BOOSTER INFORMATION
As we begin our second season of sports at HTHM, we are in awe of our student-athletes! In spite of having just freshmen and sophomores and fielding brand new teams and coaches, our inaugural year was a huge success! Our Boys Cross Country won the Pioneer League and our Girls’ Varsity Volleyball was co-champion for the league.
This year, we’ve formed a Booster Club to raise funds needed to close the gap between budget and need, as well as to provide assistance to teams and coaches. We will need to raise about $17,000 for this year’s sports program.
As we start our second year of CIF sports, we need to help our programs grow and thrive, and we can do this with your support:
- If you are able to donate, it costs the school $160 per student-athlete per sport to participate, for which only a third has been budgeted. Please help us close the gap if you are able. However, all student-athletes can participate with or without the suggested donation.
- Do you have a business and want to sponsor? Contact the booster club!
- We need team parents and helpers for each sport. Contact the booster club for more information!
- Do you want to volunteer as a coach? Let us know!
